Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2026-07-17
This policy explains what contextick, operated by Maverick Works, collects and how we use it.
Information we collect
- Account: your Google account email, name, and profile photo, received when you sign in with Google.
- Your memories: the content you choose to save, stored in a database dedicated to your account.
- Usage: basic counts (such as saves and recalls) needed to operate and improve the Service.
How we use it
We use this information only to provide the Service: to sign you in, to store your knowledge, and to return it to the AI assistants you connect. To make your content findable by meaning, saved content is sent to OpenAI to generate embeddings. We do not use your saved content to train AI models, and we do not sell it or use it for any other commercial purpose.
Third parties
We share data only with the providers needed to run the Service:
- Google — sign-in and authentication.
- OpenAI — generating embeddings from your saved content.
We do not sell your personal information or share it with anyone else, except where required by law.
International transfer
Some processing — for example, generating embeddings with OpenAI — may take place on servers located outside your country. Where that happens, we rely on the provider’s safeguards for such transfers.
Cookies
We use only the cookies needed to run the Service: an essential cookie that keeps you signed in, and a cookie that remembers your language preference. We don’t use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.
Retention and deletion
You can delete your account — including your entire personal database — at any time from your account page. When you do, your saved content is removed.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so we can’t guarantee absolute security.
Your rights
You can access your account information, and delete your account and saved content, from your account page. Your name and profile photo come from your Google account; update them there and they refresh when you sign in. For other requests regarding your personal information, contact us.
Children’s privacy
contextick is not directed to children under 14, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice.
