Terms of Service

Introduction

contextick is operated by Maverick Works. These Terms govern your use of contextick (the “Service”). By signing in or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

The service

contextick is a personal knowledge layer for AI. You save text you want to keep, and the AI assistants you connect over MCP can recall it by meaning in later conversations. The Service is offered on an “as is” basis. If we ever need to discontinue it, we’ll give you reasonable advance notice so you can delete or stop relying on it.

Your account

You sign in with Google, and you may hold one account. You are responsible for the activity under your account, for the content you save, and for keeping your API keys and access tokens secret. Notify us promptly if you believe your account or a key has been compromised.

Acceptable use

Don’t use contextick to store or transmit unlawful content, to infringe others’ rights, or to abuse the Service — for example by attempting to disrupt it, circumvent usage limits, or gain unauthorized access. We may limit or refuse use that puts the Service or other users at risk.

Your content

You own the content you save. You grant Maverick Works only the limited rights needed to operate the Service for you — storing your content in a database dedicated to your account and isolated from other users’ data, generating embeddings so it can be found by meaning, and returning it to the AI assistants you connect. We do not use your saved content to train AI models, and we do not use it for any commercial purpose.

Plans and payment

Contextick offers a Free plan and a paid Pro plan ($10 per month for 1 GB of storage). Prices are shown before you subscribe. Paid plans are sold and processed by Paddle.com, our merchant of record, who handles payment, invoicing, and refunds; your payment details are handled by Paddle and are not stored by us. Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy (full refund within 30 days if the period is unused).

You can cancel at any time from your account; your plan stays active until the end of the current billing period. If a paid plan ends while you have stored more than the Free plan allows, all of the content you have saved is removed — not only the amount above the limit — so keep your own copy of anything you want to hold on to before then. If a payment fails, saving is paused while the payment is retried; recall keeps working, and you can update your payment method or cancel from your account.

Intellectual property

The Service, including the contextick name, software, and design, belongs to Maverick Works. These Terms don’t grant you any rights in them except the right to use the Service as described here.

Disclaimer and limitation of liability

The Service is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. To the extent permitted by law, Maverick Works is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for loss of data, arising from your use of the Service. Keep your own copies of anything important.

Suspension and termination

You may delete your account, including your entire personal database, at any time from your account page. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or abuse the Service.

Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute relating to these Terms or the Service is subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of the Republic of Korea.
